Network Engineer
Job Description The Network Engineer position is responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing network deployments. This role is also responsible for effectively communicating with internal order management personnel and various internal teams on the progress of the capacity fulfillment. The Network Engineer is also responsible for meeting/exceeding daily and weekly performance targets. Rate: $42/hour Location: Remote in the US Length of Contract: 1-2 years Responsibilities: Responsible for design planning, record creation and capacity fulfillment throughout the U.S and Canadian networks. Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, access control and video surveillance. Works with Project Managers to effectively deliver service requirements to customers. Implement DWDM wave circuit designs for the core of the network as needed. Creates Engineering Design Packages that are discernible by Operations personnel. Skills and Requirements Familiarity with routing and switching technologies, including OSPF, BGP, and VLANs. Experience with cloud networking, SD-WAN, and hybrid networking environments. Experience with multi-site technology deployments. Working knowledge of optical systems and signal flow designs through fixed or flex grid networks using ROADM technology.
