**Introduction** We are seeking a proactive and curious Cisco DevNet Intern with a strong interest in Python scripting and Ansible automation. In this role, you'll work closely with our network engineering and DevOps teams to develop, test, and implement automated solutions for Cisco-based network infrastructure using Cisco DevNet APIs and tools. **Your role and responsibilities** * Write and maintain Python scripts to automate network tasks and interact with Cisco DevNet APIs (e.g., DNA Center, Meraki, ACI). * Develop and run Ansible playbooks for device configuration, policy enforcement, and system updates. * Use the DevNet Sandbox for lab testing and simulation of network environments. * Automate repetitive network workflows and processes to improve operational efficiency. * Troubleshoot scripts and playbooks and refine them based on testing and feedback. * Document code, workflows, and automation architecture in a clear, maintainable format. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (CCNA-level or above). * Strong proficiency in Python, especially for network-related scripting. * Working knowledge of Ansible, including playbooks, roles, and inventory management. * Familiarity with Cisco DevNet resources, labs, and REST APIs. * Understanding of data formats like JSON and YAML. * Willingness to learn quickly, experiment, and iterate on solutions. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience using Cisco platforms like DNA Center, Meraki Dashboard, or Cisco ACI with automation. * Version control experience (e.g., Git, GitHub). * Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), or Terraform is a plus.
