Network Design PM
Amazon’s European Transportation Network Design team is responsible for getting Amazon packages to customers more reliably, faster, cheaper, and with a lower carbon intensity, while managing to grow the shipped volume by double digits every year.

As a Program Manager for Network Design, you'll lead programs driving strategic initiatives and solving recurring problems around delivery quality, speed, cost and carbon intensity of the Amazon Transportation network in EU . Your goal is not just to solve problems once, but also to build new tools and improve processes to make sure the problems stay solved. This is essential to the scalability of the Amazon Transportation Network.

You are eager to learn about the complexities of Amazon's transportation network and the systems that support it. At the same time, you have the communication skills to explain this to someone without subject matter expertise.
You are able to coordinate multiple cross-functional projects in parallel across Tech, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance.

You can translate strategic directions into a project roadmap and build the resourcing plan to deliver on this roadmap

The position is based in Amazon’s European headquarters in Luxembourg, a city widely known for its beautiful setting, livability, and highly international population with foreign nationals making up over half of the population.

Key job responsibilities
Define the frameworks to make trade-offs between quality, speed, cost and carbon intensity
Find situations in the network where these tradeoffs are not applied correctly, leading to an inefficient network
Build a proof of concept to solve the problem initially
Work with Business Intelligence / Software Development to automate the methodology
Set up the mechanism to regularly review the gaps in optimality and suggest network changes to make sure the problem stays fixed

EU STEP brings together Supply Chain, Network Design, and Transportation Planning teams to improve end-to-end forecasting, network flow, planning, and execution. It also brings together our teams from across the business focused on our Operational Excellence pillars - Amazon Customer Excellence Systems (ACES), Learning, Quality, Service, Sustainability and Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Field teams. This integration strengthens operations and execution while driving quality improvements and enhanced customer experience across the entire value chain.
