Job Description
Provide comprehensive network support for a large-scale enterprise infrastructure serving the County of Orange. Lead major application deployments, site relocations, and infrastructure build-outs in close collaboration with the OCIT team. Administer and support both legacy Cisco technologies and modern Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions, including SDA, SD-WAN, and ACI. Serve as the primary escalation point for incident resolution and respond to daily operational requests. Partner with SAIC and OCIT leadership to evaluate emerging technologies, develop standards, and contribute to the creation of SOPs, runbooks, and other operational documentation.

Skills and Requirements
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
Extensive experience with Cisco networking, security, and datacenter solutions.
Proficiency in routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IGP, and MP-BGP.
Hands-on experience with SDN technologies including SDA, SD-WAN, and Cisco ACI, particularly in migration and operational contexts.
Proven ability to design and deploy wireless networking solutions.
Experience managing large-scale site build and relocation projects.
Strong foundation in service and change management practices.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Skilled in developing and presenting project plans and network designs.
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure, balancing technical and business needs.
Adaptive leadership style that supports and motivates team members across varying experience levels. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
10–12 years of professional experience in enterprise networking.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience in designing and implementing large-scale enterprise network and security architectures. null
