Job Overview Job Title: Network Controller Job Location: Scott AFB, IL Job Responsibilities Trace Systems is actively recruiting for an experienced and cleared networking professional to join our Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) Operations Support Cell at Scott AFB, IL. This position supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), providing worldwide 24/7/365 technical and operational support to the AISR community. Create and update tickets to track customer outages. Monitor network events and failures in real-time on a 24/7/365 basis across multiple monitoring tools. Support the Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) Operations Support Center (OSC) and be responsible for enabling various ISR assets leveraging the DoDIN infrastructure to accomplish their mission. The AISR Controller functions as the end-to-end AISR call center and first-level incident manager for AISR transport issues. The AISR Controller will focus on triaging network/system issues, identifying the best course of action to restore service, escalating the issue to the correct Tier II technician/service desk, and tracking/reporting restoration and mission impact to DISA Global leadership. This role maintains situational awareness and reports the health, status, and availability of critical AISR transport—terrestrial, satellite gateways, and Full Motion Video (FMV)—and other sensor data distribution, including identifying hazardous conditions (HAZCON). The AISR Controller assesses and reports unscheduled outages to the DISA Global watch desk and provides simultaneous, near-real-time situational awareness to the AISR community via government-provided collaboration tools. Other duties include dissemination of relevant AISR information, coordination, support, and de-confliction of scheduled maintenance, and reporting unscheduled events to strategic and regional AISR mission partners in coordination with the DISA ASI manager. Minimum Qualifications Active, in-scope US Government issued: Secret clearance. Due to the nature of the work and US Government required, US Citizenship is required. Ability to work in a 24/7 operation. Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management. Expertise in three or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, video services, Promina, Cisco, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, optical switching. General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Desired Qualification CCNA/CCNP certifications. MSPP experience. MPLS experience. Education High school and 2-4 years of experience.
