A Day in the Life:

Automate deployment and lifecycle management of network infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Integrate network platforms with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow and StackStorm to enable automated workflows and self-service operations.

Collaborate with network engineers, platform teams, and security partners to gather requirements and implement scalable automation solutions.

Develop Ansible playbooks and Terraform modules for automating cloud and on-premises networking (e.g., VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing, VPNs).

Build and maintain automation pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of automation workflows and integrations.

Keys to Success:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

Experience:

Experience automating network infrastructure in cloud and/or data center environments.

Working knowledge of version control, CI/CD principles, and automation pipelines.

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and enterprise automation platforms.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:

Proficiency in Python for scripting and orchestration tasks.

Experience with network automation concepts, including configuration management, compliance, and state validation.

Advantageous:

Terraform (big plus!)

Ansible, Jenkins, Vault

ServiceNow, StackStorm

GitHub Actions

Experience with:

Cloud networking (AWS VPCs, Azure VNets, routing, security groups, VPNs)
