What success looks like in this role:
Designs, implements, maintains, and supports complex enterprise network infrastructures with a focus on stability, scalability, and security. Maximizes network operations by monitoring performance, resolving issues and outages, and managing regular maintenance and upgrades. Ensures network solutions are aligned with business goals and are available on a 24x7 basis. Configures and manages network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologies. In more advanced scenarios, contributes to high-level design and planning of modern, secure, and automated infrastructure components (DevOps integration as a supporting element). Core areas of focus include voice, video, data, automation, and security—with an emphasis on operational reliability and stakeholder coordination.
Envisions, defines, and oversees efforts on major network infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational needs and long-term technical strategy.
Provides comprehensive, technically sound input and support for critical infrastructure elements, including data transport, system integration, voice/video services, security, and access control.
Assesses compatibility and alignment of network components, applications, and services to support an integrated and maintainable architecture.
Applies technical judgment and foresight to identify potential challenges, support business continuity, and guide improvements—particularly in the context of evolving technologies and operational needs.
Contributes to the design of new solutions and supports their transition into production (DevOps tools and automation may support these efforts).
Works closely with internal and external stakeholders, representing the technology side of the service delivery, and helping coordinate operational teams.
Supports the modernization of network infrastructure with automation tools and cloud-aware practices (e.g., Azure support, scripting, Terraform, GitLab).
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
6–10 years of relevant experience in enterprise network operations and infrastructure support.
Hands-on knowledge of:
Check Point, Cisco, Fortigate
Terraform, GitLab
Python (for scripting and automation tasks)
Familiarity with complex, long-standing environments and experience supporting their modernization.
Understanding of hybrid network/cloud environments; ability to support Azure-based systems (without full cloud ownership).
Experience working closely with stakeholders across technical and business domains.
ITIL or COBIT certification is a plus.
Familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog is a plus.
