CTG is seeking to fill a Network and Technology Support Services opening for our client in New City, NY. Location: Onsite in New City, NY Primary locations: East 70th Street, NY, NY 10021 Park Ave South, NY, NY 10016 Schedule: Weekdays: Tuesday–Friday, 2 PM – 10 PM Weekends (if scheduled): 9 AM – 5 PM Remote Work: Not available (hybrid only when working near the building) Compensation: Approx. $47K/year Position Overview: The Network and Technology Support Specialist provides technical and non-technical support to faculty, students, staff, and other end-users who have access to NYSID systems. This role resolves technology-related problems, monitors and installs software and hardware, manages general administrative issues, and provides a wide range of IT services. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support for desktop computers, applications, email systems, phone systems, network infrastructure, printers, and internet connectivity. Guide and train end-users on software applications (VPN, RDP, Zoom, Avaya, RSA, Printing, Jenzabar, EMS) and hardware tools. Maintain and store equipment, perform basic repairs, and manage network workstations and server hardware. Perform daily backups, maintain data security, and escalate issues as needed. Create and maintain virtual machines; configure, manage, and administer network infrastructure, servers, and databases. Manage backup servers (DNS, TFTP, file servers, print servers, virtual servers, etc.) and implement Group Policy. Create and modify user accounts, security groups, and distribution lists to protect institutional data. Oversee Avaya phone system updates and configuration. Develop and maintain computer master images, documentation, and deployment procedures. Track inventory, discard expired consumables, and submit purchase orders for hardware, software, and supplies. Provide audio-video system support and monitor internet connectivity. Coordinate with software developers for bug fixes and update deployments. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience in system administration required. Experience with Windows Server 2019, Virtual Machines, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, databases, networking, and TCP/IP. Microsoft and Cisco certifications preferred. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and manage priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
