Network Administrator
Description Position Overview The Network Administrator (N.A.) plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure. The N.A. is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's network systems, ensuring security, reliability, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with various I.T. teams, and contributing to the company's overall technological strategy. The N.A. has the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's digital infrastructure while working in a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a full-time position based at our corporate office in Addison, TX, reporting to the I.T. Director. This role requires on-site presence during regular business hours. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks • Ensure robust network security through firewall management, VPN setup, and intrusion detection systems • Implement and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and servers • Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and troubleshoot issues proactively • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across the network • Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) regarding data security and privacy • Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery procedures • Provide technical support and training to end-users on network-related issues • Stay updated on emerging network technologies and implement improvements • Collaborate with other I.T. teams to integrate network systems with other infrastructure components • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and standard operating procedures • Participate in I.T. projects related to network expansion or upgrades • Travel to contracted facilities – 10% • Other duties as assigned Skills Cisco routers, Firewall, Router, Troubleshooting Additional Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field • 5+ years of experience in network administration, preferably in a healthcare setting • Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs) • Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco networking equipment • Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google) • Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance requirements in healthcare • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or MCSE are highly preferred • Experience with healthcare-specific systems and regulations (e.g., EHR systems, HIPAA compliance) • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities • Willingness to be on-call and work flexible hours when required Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
