Your role will entail implementing, upgrading, and maintaining the organization's NAS infrastructure, while also overseeing the delivery and documentation of ITSM processes such as Capacity and Availability Management, Performance Management, Lifecycle Management, Patch and Vulnerability Management, Backup & Disaster Recovery Management, Security and Hardening, Audit & Compliance, and more. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all new and existing services undergo appropriate design, planning, and operational implementation. In addition to typical Storage Administrator responsibilities, you'll be tasked with recommending innovative and, whenever possible, automated approaches to infrastructure tasks. You'll also lead the resolution of escalated, complex incidents, problems, or capacity concerns. Given the company's 24x7 service model, this role will necessitate support outside of regular office hours for emergency assistance, routine maintenance, and customer service.
Job Requirements:
• Must be comfortable working in US time zone hours.
• 7+ of experience in NAS storage administration, with a focus on NetApp storage
solutions.
• Strong understanding of storage protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI) and storage
networking concepts (SAN, NAS).
• Comprehensive knowledge of Network Attached Storage (NAS) architecture and its
hardware/software products.
• Proficient with NetApp NAS Storage (CDOT) platforms, including StorageGRID,
• FabricPool, replication, and backup strategies (SnapVault, SnapMirror).
• Exposure to NetApp cloud offering such as BlueXp, FSX Ontap & CVO
• Familiarity with migration tools such as DataDobi, Robocopy, and securecopy.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions, such as TSM & Commvault.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation using Ansible, with hands-on experience in open[1]source analytics and visualization tools like Grafana.
• Experience with SAN storage arrays and switches is advantageous, particularly IBM
SVC, FSxxxx, and Brocade SAN directors.
• Relevant certifications, such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or
NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE), are a plus.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact collaboratively across teams and departments.
