Seeking an inspirational, collaborative, and creative NICU manager for our 60-bed Level IV NICU at UTMB-Galveston. This NICU ranks in the top tier for quality and excellence in the State of Texas with strong scores in family satisfaction. All single and double room accommodations (with an ocean view!) make an excellent place for families to remain with their children and nurture their progress. A dedicated team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and support services (OT, RT, Lactation, etc.) round out an exceptional care team. The NICU partners with our Level IV maternal-fetal medicine service in our beautiful and newly renovated 240-bed Women’s and Children’s Hospital. We are seeking someone with Level III/IV NICU or pediatric critical care background and 1-3 years of management background. Will consider nurse manager or strong ANM profile.

Minimum Qualifications:
RN with bachelor's degree in nursing. Five (5) years clinical experience which includes two (2) years of progressive management experience (i.e. Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Administrator, or Assistant Nurse Manager) required. Current license or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas. Certification in nursing specialty or administration required.
Preferred Experience:
NICU nurse manager experience strongly preferred
Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager is accountable for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient care for specific patient care unit(s) on a 24-hour basis. This includes oversight for clinical operations and human resources, financial, and quality management.
