BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Completion of NDT Certified Level II. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Bachelor's Degree is preferred Work requires basic skills in reading, writing and math plus the use of fractions and/or decimals. The ability to perform interpretive defect analysis, follow simple instructions and visual aids. Be able to perform constant mental concentration and close visual examination of various casting configurations under black light. Be computer literate (particularly with Power Point, Word, Excel, email and work orders). Have working knowledge of all department equipment and operations. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Work requires attention to safety practices and procedures. Be flexible to train and audit on all shift as needed. Have good communication skills.
Howmet Aerospace’s Wichita Falls, TX facility has an opening NDI Level II Technical in X-ray.
This position is for Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

JOB SUMMARY:
Works independently under general supervision to process and/or interpret castings through the NDI departments using gauges, devices, or software to evaluate indications complying with established written procedures.
In addition to X-Ray Level II responsibilities, the Technical X-ray Level II will spend 20 hours a week during the first 3 weeks of the month performing the responsibilities listed below. This position is created to ensure we have trained personnel for the level III position.
NDI operator may not move for two (2) years unless movement is a promotion within the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR NDI LEVEL II/TECHNICAL X-RAY:
In addition to Level II Responsibilities.
In the method in which certified, Level II/Technical X-Ray will:
Assist current Level III with audits (Department, ASAT, NADCAP, PEER and Customer). Train employees working in the positions of Level 1 and Level 2. Perform required calibrations and system checks. Help maintain inventory levels in X-ray. Perform additional daily, weekly and monthly audits on Level 1 and Level 2 Operators (PWA NDTCS, performance proficiency audit, and routine audits). Help with Level 2 standards. Assist Level 3 to review and address issues with customer returns. Help in projects to improve work area. Be a communication focal point for production. Do the required safety checks as needed. Review specifications and revisions. Audit product criteria and activity instructions for accuracy and completeness. Assist Level III in developing X-ray techniques for both conventional film, and computed radiography (CR).
