Job Description
As an NDE Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products as required by all applicable codes and specifications. Your role involves inspecting, testing, sorting, sampling, or weighing raw materials or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. You may use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment, and occasionally assist other employees, maintaining a clean workspace. Performing NDE to meet code and/or specification requirements may also be part of your responsibilities.
ResponsibilitiesDiscard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications.Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.Record inspections or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.Document items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauge, or micrometers.Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results.Collect or select samples for testing or for use as models.Additional Skills & QualificationsNDE certification5+ years of quality work within manufacturingHigh School Diploma (HSD) or GEDASNT-TC-1A Level II Bubble Leak TestingASNT-TC-1A Level II Dye Penetrant TestingASNT-TC-1A Level II Magnetic Particle ExaminationASNT-TC-1A Visual Inspection with Dimensional InspectionASNT-TC-1A Level II UTASNT-TC-1A RT Level I or Level IIAWS CWIKnowledge of Excel and WordMicrosoft Outlook proficiencyVision (Near, Distance, Color, Depth Perception)Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety eye wear, gloves, steel toe shoes, hearing protection)
Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing facility with temperature extremes and potential hazards such as lasers or welding arc.
The position operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 3:00pm to 1:30am, Monday through Thursday.

This is a Permanent position based out of Joplin, Missouri.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
