NBSIN is seeking a driven and innovative Sales Engineer to join our team, where safety, integrity, and performance are at the core of everything we do. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering expertise and sales strategy by partnering with design leaders, sales teams, and customers to deliver competitive, practical, and value-driven solutions. Basic Job Functions Design and Process Development: Collaborate closely with the Estimating Supervisor and Design Supervisor to refine and enhance processes and practices, ensuring the development of competitive design solutions on a consistent basis. Sales Support and Profit Enhancement: Play a crucial role in boosting division sales and profitability by providing support to builders and District Sales Managers. Engineering and Mentoring: Utilize advanced estimating tools and design software to perform engineering on complex project quotes. Oversee estimates and mentor quote engineers and estimators within the department. Technical Expertise and Customer Interaction: Provide technical support and guidance both remotely and in-person to customers and District Sales Managers, enhancing customer engagement and solution delivery. Strategic Input on Project Scope: Contribute insights regarding unique project scope requirements, focusing on business risk, product application, and economical solutions. Cross-Brand Strategy Development: Work with sales leadership across multiple brands to develop unique selling strategies that elevate project success. Travel and Flexibility: Be prepared for some travel (about 25%), often on short notice, to meet evolving business needs and project requirements.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school. Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the United States Minimum 4 years’ experience in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building industry Preferred Qualifications: Previous Design, Estimating, Sales, or Construction Experience within the Pre-Engineered Metal Building Industry Excel, CAD, and Metal Building Design Software Experience About UsNucor Buildings Group (NBG), a proud Nucor product group, is one of North America’s largest and most experienced manufacturers of metal building systems.
