The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a test and evaluation (T&E) engineer in Washington D.C. The T&E Engineer will provide technical services to a Navy Program Office. Track and manage support actions for multiple surface and undersea unmanned systems in support of the T&E team. Review and implement plans and oversight actions in support of test events for the T&E Lead.
Responsibilities:
• Work with a team of 5-7 individuals to support the Test and Evaluation portion of the unmanned system acquisition.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts to prepare documentation of test schedules, development testing and operational testing requirements, and provide updates to Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES) and Master Test Strategy (MTS).
• Complete tasking under Government direction. Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings.
• Review, implement, and maintain plans and tracking mechanisms that map programmatic requirements to planned testing, demonstration and fleet events.
• Develop technical justifications in support of programmatic positions and decisions in support of planned events.
• Coordinate with Fleet, program office staff and other stakeholders to develop and promulgate a single integrated plan to support events.
• Provide support in researching, planning, and conducting and evaluating combat system integration and Post Delivery Test and Trial (PDTT) activities.
• Maintain awareness of ship schedules, casualty reports, material condition and readiness status to keep the Program Manager and DC area-based staff appraised of impacts to mission or test events
• Track and manage actions for the Program Office T&E Lead
• Develop briefings, reports, and official correspondence on behalf of the Navy T&E Lead.
• Prepare responses to reports, and questions from stakeholders, including Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) and the Government Accountability Office (GAO), as required.
• Represent and provide support to the Program Office for developmental and operational testing, certifications, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) related and Operational Test and Evaluation Force (OPTEVFOR) meetings and various other planning events and provide After Action Reports to inform staff of meeting results.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering AND 5 years’ experience (Mech, Elect/Naval Architecture preferred)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Navy test and evaluation (T&E)
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks and effectively schedule required deliverables, meetings and follow-up actions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams
Desired:
• Previous Fleet or U S Navy experience
• Basic understanding of naval engineering principles and shipboard Mission Systems
• Unmanned undersea and surface systems

The proposed salary range for this position is:
