We’re seeking a motivated Naval Architect to join our Above Water Systems team at Garden Island. Working with limited supervision, you'll support the RMP-E program by providing technical advice, reviewing maintenance work instructions, and ensuring alignment with operational and configuration standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and approve maintenance work instructions and defect investigationsProvide expert advice on operational and maintenance products across the RMC-E EnterpriseAssess and mark up design drawings where ship conditions vary from the baselineSupport ECP incorporations during installation and compliance activitiesContribute to maintenance planning and configuration accuracyAssist Technical Writers with content accuracy and document qualityYour Skills and Experience:
Degree in Naval Architecture with 3+ years' experience in Defence or maritime projectsEligible for membership with IEAust or RINAUnderstanding of ship structures and platform systems, including relevant rules and codesProblem-solving skills and ability to assess technical alternativesStrong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilitiesFluent in both written and spoken EnglishWE ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLY
