Patuxent River, MD, USA | Full Time NAVAIR Systems Administrator Overview: JHNA is currently seeking a talented Systems Administrator to support our NAVAIR government customer in Patuxent River, MD. This position will require on-site/in person support. Responsibilities + System Administrator with demonstrated experience performing System Administration functions on Aircraft or Weapons Systems networks, and maintaining and upgrading network infrastructures across the NAVAIR community. + Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. + Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users. + Provide technical assistance to computer users. + Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network system. + Perform maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption. + Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems. + Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and capabilities. + Respond to unexpected or unauthorized service interruptions and outages. + Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution. + Implement and ensure security preventive measures are fully functioning. + Perform other job-related tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications + Must have current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret. Interim TS to start. U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance + At least 3-5 years of experience needed. + Familiarity with the following: + Windows Server + VMware/vSphere Enterprise + SAN + Networking + COMPTIA Security+ or other DOD INST 8570 compliant qualification required. + Operating system certification (i.e. Windows or Linux). + Knowledge of networking principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative principles and concepts. + Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
