National Sourcing & Contract Manager

You are a forward thinking, strategic procurement leader who has a passion for category management, sourcing suppliers, contract negotiations, implementing and analyzing metrics, managing supplier partnerships on a national level and performance improvement. You will play a critical role in partnering with our Wood Products and Timberlands businesses with initiatives, by executing the best procurement strategy. You are a leader who can influence indirect teams and other stakeholders to maximize procurement performance and minimize costs.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to identify, plan, develop, and execute structured spend category strategies aligned to the Procurement Roadmap and business requirements. To be successful in this role, you will build relationships with key stakeholders, communicate and partner with all levels of the organization. You will need to be involved with and understand our current demand and replenishment practices. It is also expected that you will be well informed of changes in our industry that may impact our operational costs, customers, and products.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage multimillion spend categories primarily related to (but not limited to): Maintenance, repair operations (MRO) (power transmission, bearings, belts, electric motors, conveyor chains, gear boxes, cylinders, etc.), Mobile Equipment, respective spare parts, and associated reliability initiatives (forklifts, log-stackers, wheel loaders, engines, transmissions, grapples, chargers, battery packs, tires, etc.), various small Capital Projects, and other assigned categories. Including:Solicit RFx and conduct sourcing eventsDraft contracts in support of business requirements and procurement strategyNegotiate and award contracts (generate savings, mitigate potential price/cost increases, and generate value added supplier support)Establish performance expectations, and monitor supplier performanceCost management: analyzing costs, identifying cost saving opportunities, maintain pricing reports, conduct data analysis, update contract pricing on SAPRisk management, address supply disruptions, identify risks, and implement mitigation measuresManage contract lifecycle (expiration, renewals, amendments, terminations, etc.)Generate synergies by collaborating across Weyerhaeuser divisionsCompliance with all procurement procedures, relevant laws, regulations and Weyerhaeuser policies.Monitoring market prices related to commodities embedded in managed categoriesCommunicate timely relevant updates with numerous stakeholders across the company Pursue continuous process improvement on managed categories, and other processesCreate multiyear forward looking category strategies for spend under managementCreate, maintain, and/or contribute to various procurement and materials management procedures, whether relevant to managed categories or as contributor to broader effortsCollaborate with the Procurement team, and numerous multi-functional stakeholders across the United States and CanadaServe as a subject matter expert regarding market prices, procurement processes, contractual expectations, and other workflows related to MRO and managed categoriesPlan, develop, and provide structured training sessions in support of Procurement of MRO, performance metrics, and Reliability’s goalsSupport cost reduction efforts across the businesses and various plant locationsMentor procurement succession planning candidates

Or equivalent work experience (i.e., 8 years of procurement experience in heavy industry manufacturing setting)5 years in strategic sourcing managing multimillion-dollar (min $20 Million) categories spanning multiple facilities Proven ability to effectively negotiate multimillion dollar contractsProven ability to consistently generate cost savings and mitigate price increasesProven experience in collaborating and influencing cross-functional teamsExperience working within or leading a decentralized teamProven ability to create category strategies with a variety of methods to obtain optimal outcomesAbility to relate to and communicate with senior leaders as well as hourly associatesHigh level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, etc.)Experience with forecasting price trends and reporting to a broader internal audienceExperience exporting ERP system and other reports and use analytics to support decisionsPreferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Procurement Supply Chain Management, or related field of study5 years of MRO procurement experience with power transmission, mobile equipment and tiresStrong negotiation and contract writing skillsProfessional procurement accreditation (CPM, APICS, or equivalent)Continuous process improvement experience (i.e., TQM, Lean, 6 Sigma, PDCA, Kaizen, ISO, etc.)Experience in conflict management and resolutionExperience in wood products industryExperience working with SAP ECC or S/4 ERP systems, particularly with MM module.

What We Offer:

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of$106,917-$160,376based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
