National Sales Manager (Vice President of Sales)- Minka

Job Description

Minka Group seeks the right individual to fill the Senior National Sales Manager (VP of Sales) role and communicate our passion for the products we develop to our customers in showrooms, electrical distributors and online. This position will develop and implement sales strategies, identify potential customer opportunities, lead existing customer and vendor relationships, and supervise customer and competitor activity and industry trends.

Position Details:Reports to the President of MinkaManage $200 million in Sales for Minka’s multiple distribution channels and direct oversight of sales leaders.This is a remote position with preference in major city hubs of LA, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, CharlotteWork travel up to 50%.

Primary Responsibilities:Actively developing and driving annual strategic sales plans for key customers and through rep groups in an omnichannel environmentEstablishes and manages relationships with key customers, including but not limited to Home Depot, Lowes, Ferguson, Wayfair, Amazon, and Lamps PlusUnderstand and communicate Minka’s strategic direction and implement sales activities consistent with strategy.Collaborate with Channel Sales leaders to implement strategies, maintain product, pricing, promotional alignment, and discipline.Key driver of new product sales through all channels of distribution.Responsible for delivering an accurate monthly forecast for field sales and key accounts and providing important insights into customer trends and the market.Drive Minka’s representative agencies to ensure they perform at targeted revenue, service, growth, and cost levels. Establish quarterly performance reviews with key customers and rep groups to ensure sales performance for the business.Lead the Minka sales team with a focus on successful associate development including proactively identifying high-potential talent.Works alongside Finance Business Partner to develop, monitor, and implement programs, pricing recommendations, and investments for profitability.Develop and implement compensation strategies for the external manufacturer rep network that drive and reward sales growth and gross margin improvement. These include individual development plans containing specific improvement goals to increase the agency/team net abilities.Work closely with finance, supply chain, and marketing departments to optimize all sales opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business or management or combined education and experience equivalentMust have ten (10) + years of experience in sales leadership, rep groups, multi-channel environment, and senior team-level engagement.Experience selling to builders, designers, electrical distributors, and showroom consultants.Self-starting, collaborative teammate. Self-motivated with a high energy level capable of maneuvering throughout an organization to achieve results.Experience in the development and execution of strategic business plansProven track record for identifying and building new business.Effective communication and presentation skills, including presentations to all levels of employees and customers.Maintain up to date with all industry trends, issues, and news.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$9,900.00 - $16,133.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
