 Downer is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Logistics Manager to lead our warehouse and logistics operations across all RTS sites. This pivotal role is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and high-quality warehouse processes, while fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across the national supply chain.

 

Key responsibilities:

 Lead warehouse teams across multiple sites to ensure safe and efficient operations including receiving, put away, picking, and dispatching.Champion safety leadership and governance, driving a proactive Zero Harm culture.Guide and coach Warehouse Managers and Inventory Controllers to exceed stakeholder expectations.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise logistics solutions and meet business needs.Design and implement innovative warehouse layouts and process flows to maximise safety, quality, delivery, and cost outcomes.Drive change management initiatives to align resources and processes with evolving business requirements.

 

About you

Strong leadership and coaching skills with a commitment to team development, continuous improvement and innovation.Ability to travel – this is a national role and require the candidate to travel to various sites across the east coast of Australia.

Extensive experience in a technically complex warehousing and logistics environment across a muti site organisation. A proven background in the delivery of material requirements for asset management and project delivery—ideally gained within industries such as automotive, aerospace, rail, or mining.

Skilled in making critical decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.Ability to lead by example and model high standards of behaviour.
