Responsibilities
As a National General Adjuster (NGA) focused on Inland Marine, your extensive and diversified technical property and inland marine claim expertise will be utilized to adjust our largest and most complex losses. You'll be responsible for managing a caseload of complex claims and closely collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (Claims, Underwriting, Agents and beyond). You will also support to the overall Claims organization through guidance, tools and continual claims education. This role is integral to the BFM team as we trust you to also provide thought leadership on a continual basis to always be improving claim standards as needed and will pro-actively adjust to changing dynamics.

Manage a pending of large/complex Commercial Property and Inland Marine claims, including technical and tactical direction and supervision of independent adjusters, experts and attorneysEnsure claim management and case reserves are consistent with company guidelines and philosophyComply with reporting requirements and treaty and facultative reinsurersProvide dotted-line oversight, mentorship and direction to adjuster colleagues, including reserve/settlement authorityDevelop and maintain relationships and communication with Leadership, Underwriters, and ActuariesContinuously look for ways to improve claims standards and share value-added recommendationsDeliver timely feedback to leadership outlining opportunities for improvementAct as a resource for underwriting, share knowledge and collaborate with all departments.Participate as a thought partner by giving and receiving constructive feedback and championing innovation and continual process improvement QualificationsWhat you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience10+ years of commercial P&C insurance Demonsrate commercial property & inland marine claims expertise, including demonstrated ability in dealing with significant coverage mattersSecure/maintain all necessary state adjuster licenses and CE creditsExcellent analytical skills; attention to detail with an inquisitive natureEnjoys collaboration and interacting with othersStrong organization and documentation skillsExcellent communicator (verbal and written)What makes you stand out:

• Base Salary Range: $104,000 to $192,000
• Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus
