As the National Director of Student Services, you will provide strategic oversight and leadership to Devereux education programs and initiatives, including Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS). You will:
Offer expertise on IDEA implementation and other federal/state education regulationsLead DESS personnel and national education projectsDevelop new business opportunities in school-based mental health and day programmingAdvise the VP of Education Services on national education mattersServe as a thought leader at education conferences and internal committeesThis position requires nationwide travel to Devereux centers in 13 states, with additional locations based on new business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide school directors with technical support, policy alignment, and budget insightsPartner with school districts and agencies to expand innovative, student-centered servicesEnsure regulatory compliance and advocate for legally sound program modelsDrive cross-functional collaboration to unify best practices nationally#sponsored
QualificationsQualifications:
Master’s degree (required); Doctorate in education, psychology, or related field (preferred)Valid or eligible for state-level education certifications (e.g., principal, supervisor of special education, superintendent letter of eligibility)At least 5 years of school-based administrative/supervisory experienceDeep knowledge of IDEA, special education practices, and behavioral health in academic settingsAbility to travel nationwide to Devereux centers in 13 states, with additional locations based on new business development.Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
