Primary Purpose The Director, National Fence Operations is a key strategic leader responsible for scaling and optimizing USS’s national fence operations, including support for Events. This role shapes the long-term vision for the fence line of business by aligning operational execution with growth objectives, customer commitments, and financial performance. This role drives asset efficiency, service excellence, and crossfunctional integration while ensuring that installations are executed on time and in full (OTIF) and aligned to forecasted demand. Through strong leadership, data-driven planning, and collaboration with Sales, Events, and Operations, this role elevates the impact and profitability of the fence division across USS’s footprint. Essential Functions • Develops and implements a comprehensive fence operational strategy aligned with USS’s overall business objectives • Collaborates with Sales and Event teams to forecast demand and plan resource allocation • Identifies and justifies CapEx investments based on operational needs and return on investment (ROI) • Oversees management of all fence assets to ensure readiness, quality, and proper deployment • Coordinates with Regional Fence Managers to ensure installation timeliness, and OTIF delivery • Develops and enforces policies, procedures, and SOPs for fence operations, including site specific specifications (e.g., wind barriers, big foots) • Implements and maintains an inventory system to track and categorize assets by use case (e.g., events vs. construction) • Identifies obsolete or non-functional assets and leads plans for disposal or replacement • Leads and mentors a team of regional Fence Managers, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement • Supports seasonal labor planning by partnering with branches on hiring needs for peak periods • Establishes and manages a fence division P&L statement and develops budgets informed by sales forecasts and historical data • Monitors financial performance and implements corrective actions as needed to meet targets • Collaborates with cross-functional partners across Sales, Events, and Operations to drive operational alignment • Participates in recurring leadership meetings to coordinate execution, share updates, and address challenges • Engages with external vendors and partners to support the operational needs of the fence division • Travels up to 50% • Valid driver’s license required • Performs other duties and projects as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has supervisory responsibilities Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Min/Preferred Education Level Description Minimum 4 Year / Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience EXPERIENCE Minimum Years of Experience Maximum Years of Experience Comments 7 In operations leadership roles, preferably in construction, field services, rental equipment, or logistics industries. Must include multi-site or regional responsibility. Experience managing P&L strongly preferred. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program. Salary Range $150,000.00 – $165,000.00 / year Pay Transparency Statement At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US.
