The National Director will lead the strategy and implementation of World Vision’s work in Myanmar, with the purpose of achieving sustained improvements in child well-being. To accomplish this, the National Director will build strong relationships with external partners, while developing deep leadership capacity within the organisation. The National Director will adhere to all relevant policies and standards, including program performance and financial accountability. Critically, the National Director will embody the values of World Vision, while contributing to the mission and vision of World Vision International.
You will be a leader who contributes to World Vision's Partnership life and unity, by acting as both a local and global representative of the organization.
The National Director must model a high standard of personal Christian leadership, ministry and integrity; leading by example and providing spiritual guidance to staff on the WV Vision, Mission and Core Values.

You will be required to have the following Professional Experience :
At least ten 10 years of experience leading humanitarian assistance and development programs in complex Emergency Response & Development contexts.
Must have recent working experience in Myanmar - within the past 5 years - having worked closely with INGOs in the region.
Experience leading large teams (>400 staff) and managing sizeable budgets ($18mill)
Expertise in raising funds across a variety of donors, including governments, foundations, corporations, and other private donors
Exemplary ability to develop effective working relationships in the Mongolia context
Highest standards of written and verbal communication
Experience working in complex, humanitarian contexts
Skills and knowledge in governance through previous work engagements with an Advisory Council or a Board of Directors.
Good knowledge of financial management and accounting principles, financial control principles and tools
Experience in Development and Emergency and domestic/ international relief as one of major Ministries (Relief, Development, Advocacy)
Good understanding of safety and security rules and regulations; HEAT Certified or willing to be.
Required Education:
Master’s degree in development studies, international development, management, administration or social sciences or equivalent
