Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented National Accounts Sales Manager – DSO Channel to lead a team of National Account Managers, focused on the fast-growing Dental Service Organization (DSO) segment. This leadership role is responsible for coaching and developing a high-performance team, driving execution of account-level strategies, and cultivating relationships with national and regional DSO partners to achieve revenue and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

 

People & Team Leadership:

Recruit, lead, and develop a team of National Account Managers and/or Strategic Account Managers focused on DSOs. Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and development plans for team members. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and support through customer meetings, 1:1s, and team meetings. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.

Strategic Account Oversight:

Oversee and support team execution of business plans for key DSO partners, ensuring alignment with broader commercial goals. Lead enterprise-level relationships with priority DSO groups, including contract negotiations and executive engagement. Drive team ownership of quarterly business reviews (QBRs), contract compliance, pricing initiatives, and practice-level penetration.

Sales & Market Strategy:

Develop and execute the national DSO sales strategy in collaboration with executive leadership, marketing, and finance. Identify growth opportunities through market segmentation, product expansion, or new DSO partnerships. Stay current on market trends, DSO consolidation, and competitor activity.

Reporting & Performance Management:

Track sales performance, forecast revenue, and report on pipeline health and account progress. Use data to drive decision-making, territory planning, and resource allocation.

Communication:

Communicate company culture and initiatives effectively. Listen actively and provide effective responses. Develop presentation materials and build positive business relationships. Actively engage with appropriate merchandising, marketing, and other internal employees relevant to business Must display interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customers, employees and others in a professional and tactful manner Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public Address customer complaints in an appropriate and professional manner.  Escalating concerns as required by current processes.

 

Education/Years of Experience

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of relevant work experience, or a master’s degree plus 4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience Proven track record of leading teams to success 3 or more years of prior sales management experience Experience in resolving conflict and problem solving

 

Certifications/Licensing:

Valid driver’s license is required

 

Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:

Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time Lives within assigned area, with strong working knowledge of the same Required to complete corporate and divisional sales and sales leadership training Capable of working independently Prior leadership, mentoring, coaching, and recruiting experience Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with customers Must display interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customers, employees and others in a professional and tactful manner. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Sales Force CRM knowledge preferred but not required Ability to operate a motor vehicle daily up to 8 hours or more per day Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
