The business delivers solutions for both the interior and exterior of a building that enhance the performance and beautification of shelters across the globe. The Shelter Solutions business combines multiple globally-recognized brands under one business – Great Stuff™, Great Stuff Pro™, Froth-Pak™, Styrofoam™, Tyvek®, Corian® Design, and others. A core business segment of the Shelter Solutions business, the **Shelter Solutions Home Improvement Business** sells its products to North American retailers such as The Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Menards, amongst many others. The **Home Improvement National Account Manager (NAM)** leads the company’s efforts to maintain and expand relationships with large, highly strategic, multi-location retail customers, primarily within the hardware and home improvement industry. Assigned to multiple key customers, this National Account Manager is responsible for implementing the Shelter Solutions retail market strategy and achieving quarterly/annual sales, margin, and forecasting goals, as well as assigned strategic account objectives. The NAM represents the entire range of business products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle, account team, and support personnel and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met and growth targets achieved. The NAM reviews and negotiates customer programs, contracts, guidelines, and commercial policies to fully understand all operational / financial implications and ensure alignment to the retail market strategy, as well as to operational capacity and capability to supply. Core responsibilities include data collection and analysis to provide accurate forecasts for both DuPont and assigned customers, and driving all customer related activities around new product launches, assortment changes, pricing, promotions and inventory to optimize POS and subsequent DuPont sales. In addition to strong analytical skills, success in this role requires retail category and account management expertise, as well as mastery of the product line review process and customer presentations, planogram design leadership, and the ability to understand, quantify and articulate customer opportunities and value propositions. This role focuses on the corporate and key buying locations of assigned accounts, while coordinating closely with field service merchandising teams and sales agency associates. The ability to lead internal and external teams, and collaborate highly effectively cross-functionally is critical, as is the capability to skillfully communicate and articulately present to various leadership levels, both internal and external. **Key responsibilities include:** + Leads customer engagement with some of DuPont’s most critical and dynamic retail accounts, requiring sharp business acumen, excellent relationship development, and strategic thinking + Achieves, or exceeds assigned volume, revenue, and margin goals with designated national accounts, while supporting growth of adjacent licensed products + Leads key account team, which may include directing Manufacturing Rep agencies, while working closely with Customer Service, Marketing, Legal, and Sales Support to achieve account goals, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive swift resolutions + Uses data and strong analytical skills to provide initial forecast for designated national accounts in partnership with forecasting team, and continuously improves upon it + Develops and successfully executes strategic customer account plans and objectives, encompassing both brick-and-mortar and eCommerce channels, aligned with the retail market strategy + Leads planning, preparation and participation in customer events and meetings, cross-team alignment for line reviews, partnership discussions, store walks, etc. + Seeks out and develops new business in accordance with the retail market strategy and Shelter growth programs + Manages and leads execution of customer contracts, rebate programs, and co-op programs (as relevant) + Maintains pulse on competitive developments at accounts and shares key insights with broader retail team **Qualifications** Required: + Four-year college degree from an accredited institution + Minimum of five years of national account management experience with The Home Depot, Lowe’s or Menards + Experience in construction/hardware/building industry + Retail reporting and data analytics experience + Ability to travel up to 40% of the time for customer engagements Preferred: + Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills + Inquisitive, highly accountable nature to drive to root causes and seek creative solutions + Proven ability to partner and work successfully across functions Location: Remote available.
