Who We Are

The NAMR Commercial Director (CD) is a dynamic, challenging role at BCG that is responsible for partnering with BCG Managing Directors & Partners (MDPs) and case teams to shape and negotiate complex commercial arrangements. The role is client-facing.

What You'll Do

Your primary responsibility will be to drive the commercial diligence, structuring, negotiation, and execution of the firm’s largest and most complex commercial arrangements, ranging from as small as $1.5M to as large as $100M+. You will also drive more traditional commercial negotiations such as multi-year rate cards, master services agreements, and statements of work and shape investments to help break into new clients, win competitive opportunities, and deliver strong ROI for BCG. You will coach teams on optimal commercial structuring based on competitive dynamics.

You will (1) heavily support our Commercial Senior Directors through an apprenticeship model, (2) contribute to the evolution of best practices for commercial arrangements (incl. value-based pricing arrangements, rate cards etc.), (3) support pricing trainings for our MDPs, Partners, and Principals, and (4) as time allows, lead special projects that will drive innovations and enhancements in our NAMR Commercial Team. You will partner closely with several NAMR teams across Finance, Legal, Client Team, etc. as well as collaborate globally with other regional Commercial Director teams, Revenue Management, BCG X and more.

To succeed, you will need to establish yourself as a credible thought partner for our MDPs and case teams. You will need to constantly strike the right balance of developing commercial constructs that are “yes-able” to the client, while maintaining appropriate economics for BCG and mitigating key risks.  You will engage directly with clients (especially Procurement) to negotiate commercial arrangements and act as the client’s primary contact with the firm with respect to the commercial arrangement negotiation.
