Summary

POSITION INFORMATION Position summary: Qualified individuals will be primarily responsible for providing direct, hands-on treatments such as nail and callous care for individuals unable to perform care safely themselves or who are at higher risk due to problems such as diabetes or poor circulation.   Will maintain their own daily schedule of patients. Must be able to work independently and enjoy relationships built with patients who are typically elderly or who have other health concerns.   Will work under the supervision of the physician or another health care practitioner. They will be the liaison between the providers and the patient and family. They will collaborate with other health care members, assist in the orientation of new personnel, report situations requiring intervention, and provide clinical care.   This position is clinical in nature but may include light administrative duties to support efficient practice operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school graduate, minimum. Preferred: Certificate in Medical Assisting from an approved school. Preferred: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and current licensure by Ohio State Board of Nursing.
Required length and type of experience: Medical terminology/previous healthcare experience in an outpatient setting preferred. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Required licensure, certification or registry: CPR certification required. Preferred: Current Medical Assisting certification. Preferred: Current license as a Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio.
