The Quality Manager leads teams and helps manage high cost priorities for all the teams.
Key Requirements/Skills:
10 years of overall experience Bachelor’s in Engineering, Master’s preferred Management experience that has demonstrated ability to operate as leader Effective data analytics skills that include the use of quality analytic tools (Quality Ai, GSAR, Global Reliability Dashboard, Repair Diagnostics Mapping) Ability to work independently, making key decisions in the best interests of customers Extensive Internal Combustion Propulsion & Thermal System’s Engineering experience Strong knowledge of Ford’s Quality Operating System and the Ford Customer Service Division Highly capable problem solving skills (6 Sigma, 3 by 5 why, 8D) Ability to lead cross-function teams to deliver high priority assignments that are often not within your direct reporting structure Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to lead and organize teams to communicate to Director level forums Strong business acumen for decision making based on specific criteria’s Flexible and agile to deliver and rollout successfully new quality initiativesYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

Core Quality & Analytics
Communicate Quality office initiatives to the IPTSE organization with clarity and detail for effective execution. Maintain discipline around quality processes within IPTSE to ensure standardization, efficiency, and effectiveness for all initiatives. Oversee and ensure data integrity for all quality data being circulated and presented with respect to IPTSE’s quality. Manage Core Quality Objective Setting and status relative to these objectives. Lead agendas for the Director Quality Review (DQR) & Functional Quality Review (FQR). Monitor VHE VPQR and ISQR agendas to prepare IPTSE when required. Develop key executive-level presentations to support quality report-outs in the Vice President Quality Review, Daily Systemic Quality, Field Service Quality Review, and VP Daily Quality Reviews. Responsible for directing proper data collection regarding engine quality status for Director-level report-outs. Serve as an integral part of data analysis and development of accurate conclusions regarding key quality issues driving status outcomes. Effectively communicate priority quality concerns to appropriate teams in order to establish key players in continuous improvement. Manage the Quality Analytics team that supports all propulsion and application engineering groups with claims reading, binning, BSAQ management, Plant Quality Review Decks, and PRT meetings. Manage the IPTSE Cost & Quality PIN (purchase identification number) within budget to fund key quality projects.High Time In Service
Manage the High Time in Service Section as they deliver quality robustness projects that align to reduce 36MIS warranty and warranty cost reserves. Triage and analyze HTIS warranty data to develop strong problem definitions to be presented to applicable engineering teams for root cause and countermeasure implementation. Serve as a key decision-maker for priority warranty projects that yield both customer satisfaction and cost-saving initiatives. Collaborate to develop test plans to validate root cause hypotheses or repair effectiveness; plans must include cost, timing, and people resource information. Communicate test plan/status/results directly to Executives (VP & Director Level reviews). Review and approve test data, leveraging key subject matter experts within PD as required. Create a decision matrix for repair implementation business cases to communicate accurate recommendations established from the testing. Lead cross-functional teams through the implementation process of large Field Service Actions to provide the customer with an effective repair, as well as control the warranty spend costs associated with the quality issues. Manage the engine and component teardown facilities ensuring proper prioritization, resources, funding and any further needs for it to operateWarranty Spend/CPR Reduction & Service Engineering
Lead cross-functional teams in high warranty spend projects to implement effective repairs in the field that also deliver cost savings to the company. Oversee projects to ensure teams are utilizing warranty spend reduction tools correctly and optimizing all lower-cost repair opportunities. Supervise the assessment of serviceability issues and concerns for new model designs to apply the most cost-effective service solution available. Monitor service publication releases, which involves approving updated diagnostics and repair procedures that result in a more robust, yet less costly repair in the field.
