Position Overview Mystic Valley Athletics is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Coach for its Cheerleading Team for the 2025-26 season. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, prior coaching or cheerleading experience at the high school or collegiate level, and a commitment to fostering a positive, team-oriented environment. This is a seasonal, part-time position with practices and events held during weekday evenings. Key Responsibilities + Plan, organize, and lead cheer practices 2–3 days per week + Design and implement training routines and conditioning programs + Choreograph and teach cheer routines for boys and girls varsity basketball games (16–20 games total) + Maintain and review inventory of uniforms and equipment + Uphold and model school policies, values, and expectations + Communicate regularly with student-athletes, families, and athletics staff Requirements + Availability for evening practices and game-day performances + Completion of NFHS Concussion Certification (within the first year) + CPR and First Aid Certification (within the first year) + Understanding and support of Mystic Valley’s mission and educational philosophy Preferred Qualifications + Prior competitive cheer experience (high school or collegiate level) + Previous coaching experience, ideally at the high school level or higher This position is an annual appointment and will be reviewed at the conclusion of each season.
