The Multispindle Machinist will set up and operate a CNC Index Multipsindle machine for medium-high volume production of complex machined aerospace parts. Machinists are responsible for in-process inspection of machined products, which requires basic competencies in shop math, hand measuring tools, and documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sets up and operates a CNC Index Multispindle for medium-high volume production.Uses basic tabletop gauges, such as micrometers, calipers, Sunnen gages, and bore micrometers.Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.Make recommendations for improvements in methods of performance of work.Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.Performs basic machine upkeep, including removing chips from tools and equipment, wiping down the surface of the machine, and maintaining correct coolant, oil, and lube levels.Follows all safety policies (PPE, machine operation, LOTO), quality standards, and cleaning/organization standards (6S).Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
2-5+ years of experience on set-up and operation of a CNC lathe with lot quantities that exceed 100+ units.Good understanding of geometric dimensional and tolerances and shop math.Ability to read machining CNC programs and have a basic understanding of common “G” and “M” codes.Previous experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools preferred.Previous experience with Index Multispindle machines, Haas Lathes, Index Lathes, and “Screw” machines preferred. /*generated inline style */ All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. /*generated inline style */ For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $24 to $32 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.
