Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Job DescriptionNBC6 AND Telemundo 51 are looking for a multiplatform producer to produce live breaking news as well as original videos and segments created for our streaming channels that can also be used on linear, OTT and other platforms. We are looking for a journalist with a proven ability to create videos that are shareable and are relevant to an audience on any platform. This person will also need to use someone else’s idea or content and repurpose it for the appropriate platform.
Our ideal candidate is someone who produces newscasts, is bilingual (English/Spanish), full of ideas and can take a project from pitch to publication.
The role requires being able to write, produce, and edit video as well as move seamlessly from one platform to the next as necessary. You will need to work closely with news leadership, producers and reporters to select the most compelling and relevant stories for the duopoly.
