Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Multimedia Specialist I - Boca Raton, FL

The Multimedia Specialist supports the design, development, and delivery of multimedia solutions to enhance online courses and eLearning professional development. This role is responsible for all phases of multimedia production—including pre-production, recording (on-location and in-studio), and post-production. Duties include managing and transporting video equipment, setting up shoots, and ensuring technical needs are met.
Additional responsibilities include facilitating live and pre-recorded training, producing instructional materials and reusable learning objects, managing media storage, and handling captioning and content embedding. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Media and Innovation.
Essential Duties:
Design and develop multimedia content to support quality online learning and professional development.
Execute pre-production, recording, and post-production of multimedia projects.
Conduct on-location and studio recordings; maintain, transport, and set up production equipment.
Facilitate live and pre-recorded training sessions.
Create instructional materials and reusable learning objects.
Manage media storage systems; process captioning and embed content.
Travel to the Davie and Jupiter campuses to support recording and production activities as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of related experience required.Valid driver's license required.

Strong skills in video editing, post-production, and studio production software.
Knowledge of media accessibility tools and services.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
Ability to assist with hardware and video production troubleshooting.
