**Position Description:**
The College of Media and Communication at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Lecturer in Multimedia position to begin September 1, 2025.
As a faculty member in the College of Media & Communication, you will be expected to split their responsibilities between teaching and creative production. As a lecturer, this individual will instruct students in writing, storytelling, and multimedia content creation within the College of Media & Communication. In their marketing role, they will produce high-quality multimedia that support the college's brand, crafting compelling visual narratives for prospective students, alumni, faculty, and the public. This position requires a creative professional who can balance teaching with producing engaging, mission-aligned content for both academic and marketing purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Instructional duties would comprise 40% of this position’s overall assignment, equating to a teaching load of four courses (2/2) per 9-month academic year, with the opportunity to teach additional courses during summer or intersessions for additional compensation.
+ The remaining 60% of the position would be devoted to providing multimedia content (photography/videography or graphic design) services for the college.

**Faculty Qualifications:**
+ 3-5 years combined post-secondary teaching and/or professional experience in videography/photography or graphic design, including but not limited to traditional and online magazines, new media, newspaper, television, advertising, public relations, non-profit and other types of organizations.
+ 18 hours completed toward a Master’s (MA, MS, MBA/MFA) degree or a Bachelor’s (BA/BFA) degree plus exceptional professional experience at the time of appointment.
+ Proven experience as a photographer/videographer or graphic designer, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.
+ Educational experience past the B.A. degree can be included as professional experience.
+ Experience managing students and/or professional staff in the completion of professional-quality multimedia projects.
+ Strong visual portfolio.
+ Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
+ Proficiency in design or photography and video editing software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar programs.
+ Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both still and motion media.
+ Excellent storytelling abilities, with a focus on content that resonates with diverse audiences.
+ Work both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
+ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management capabilities.
