Job Summary/Description:

KMVT, the Gray-owned CBS affiliate in Twin Falls, Idaho, is looking for a Multi-Media Journalist. The successful candidate is a team player in the newsroom. The candidate must be comfortable with enterprising stories as an MMJ reporter. This candidate must be connected and comfortable with all platforms of broadcast journalism: TV, social, mobile, and online.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Generating unique, compelling, and innovative story ideas and content.
• Excellent, creative presentation and writing skills are a must.
• Excellent use of social media for news gathering and community engagement.
• Motivated and aggressive about enterprising stories.
• Contribute to multiple platforms on a daily basis, including writing for the websites, posting on social media.
• Develop contacts and relationships in the community

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Experience in college-level broadcast journalism training.
• A college degree in broadcast journalism or equivalent experience.
• Video examples of on-air work.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, including tripod, camera, and lights.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Be willing to work weekends, nights, or any given shift.
• Must be able to find enterprise news stories.
• Must be able to work under deadlines.
• Candidates should also exhibit a good work ethic, strong people skills, the ability to be a team player, and must maintain a professional attitude at all times.
