DHI Communities is currently looking for a Multifamily-Purchasing Assistant. The right candidate will support the purchasing team with operational and administrative responsibilities for multiple projects across the region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Set up and maintain project files Serve as liaison between the Region and Corporate Project Coordinator Ensure proper and timely coordination for document collection throughout contracting process Assist Purchasing Manager in subcontractor follow-up and recruitment Draft correspondence to existing and prospective subcontractors and vendors Maintain complete Region bid list, vendor database as well as supporting the prequalification process Maintain project rebate log and coordinate updates with Corporate Accounting Follow-up with bidders to ensure timely and accurate bid submission Follow up and track the status of awarded contracts, ensuring contracts are processing on time Assist Purchasing Manager in ensuring that Procore bid invitations are complete with all bidders Maintain and Update project cost comparison spreadsheet as new contracts and change orders are executed Establish and maintain positive communications with subcontractors Assist field team with various needs associated with completing multifamily construction projects on schedule and within budget Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company Administrative support for the Purchasing and Construction departments as required Attend vendor meetings as needed to assist Construction and Purchasing with all administrative tasks and follow-up Ability to work overtimeAbility to travel overnight
