We are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias to work on a prestigious College of Policing site in Ryton work that provides a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines and to provide a reactive and pro-active maintenance service as per project requirements to all operational equipment.
Main Duties
Undertake LED Lighting and electrical installations. Working closely with the Lighting Project team, sub-contractors, and Project Manager to meet completion targets set for a particular project. Ability to work nights and stay away from home as majority of work will be carried out outside of normal working hours. Work to electrical drawings e.g., installation, circuit diagrams and line schematics. Produce a quality end product first time with no re-work required. Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation. What we are looking forWe're seeking a fully qualified electrician with 18th Edition IEE Regulations (2383-18). 2391-52 Test & Inspection, SSSTS, IPAF, PASMA, and EV charging knowledge are desirable but not essential—full training will be provided.
The role requires flexibility to work nights and stay away from home, with most work outside normal hours (Mon–Fri). Candidates must be able to work at heights (up to 3m), lift up to 25kg, and hold a full UK driving licence.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise workload, work independently, and comply with health & safety legislation.
You'll be responsible for your company vehicle and materials, complete documentation accurately, and adapt to industry changes through training. Additional duties may be assigned by the Project Manager.
