We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Lines Claims Adjuster to join our team in our St. John's, NL office or remotely. The successful candidate will evaluate claims through loss investigation and negotiates settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships. We offer a remote work set-up for this position and regular travel to loss locations throughout the territory is expected.

3 to 5 years functional and technical experience in an insurance environmentFull independent adjusting license or working towards CIP designationExperience in road adjusting including the investigation and detailed reporting of claimsExperience handling property and/or casualty claims is preferred, but open to all claims experiencePost Secondary education in an insurance related field considered an assetWorking knowledge of Xactimate and Xactanalysis an assetComputer and reporting skills including Office 365 and Windows 10Ability to manage multiple prioritiesBilingual in French would be considered an assetMust be a team player with outstanding customer service skillsWillingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growthReliable transportation requiredValid driver's license is requiredInvestigate multi-line claims and adjust lossesReviews and analyzes experts’ reportsSelects and directs independent expertsIdentifies and pursues subrogation opportunitiesSecures and manages litigation disposition plans and budgetsDetailed recording of file activities and transactions in both Crawford and Company and client-based systemsMaintains accurate expense accountsWork with manager to maintain client relationAbility to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel and regulators
