This position transports students and/or others by school bus for the MN State Academies. Transportation to events may include out of state travel and possible overnight travel if an activity requires this. This position may be asked to transport MSA students between campus buildings during subzero weather conditions. A job offer is contingent upon the candidate possessing a valid Minnesota Class B Driver’s License and passing the on-site Type III training at the required level for the position. A revoked, suspended, or cancelled driver's license within the last three years, or three serious traffic violations during any 12 month period will disqualify an applicant from further consideration. The employee(s) in this position are subject random drug and alcohol testing. **Minimum Qualifications** + A valid Minnesota Class B Driver’s License and a school bus endorsement + Ability to read and write English sufficient to understand written policies and procedures and education plans and to maintain records and documentation. + Ability to perform emergency procedures and personal safety techniques. **Preferred Qualifications** + Clean driving record without violations for last five years. + Experience with student or school transportation **Physical Requirements** + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance) and be able to sit, stand and walk throughout the day **Additional Requirements** This position requires successful completion of the following: + Employees driving on MSA business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MSA's vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check. + Employment is contingent upon a successful criminal background check within the past 12 months AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Minnesota State Colleges and Universities is an Equal Opportunity employer/educator committed to the principles of diversity.
