Job Description
Our client is seeking a full-time Middle School ELA Special Education (SPED) Teacher to support students in grades 6–8 with learning differences in English Language Arts. The teacher will develop and implement IEPs, deliver modified instruction, and work collaboratively with staff, families, and specialists to ensure student success in a structured, inclusive classroom setting.
Deliver individualized and small-group ELA instruction aligned to IEP goals Develop and implement IEPs and behavior intervention plans Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs Use research-based instructional strategies to drive progress Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and paraprofessionals Create a safe, structured classroom that supports academic and social growth Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and academic achievement Participate in ARD meetings and implement team recommendations Communicate regularly with parents/guardians Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with SPED requirements Use educational technology and data to enhance and individualize instructionQualifications
Valid Texas teaching certificate (required) Valid Texas Special Education (SPED) certification (required) Texas ESL certification (required) Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university Experience working with students with disabilities preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development, ELA content, and SPED complianceWhy This Is a Great Opportunity
