MS Dynamics D365 Retail Functional Consultant

Job Description:

DXC Technology Egypt is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Point-of-Sale (POS) systems to join our Modern Application Development Group. This team plays a vital role in delivering end-to-end digital transformation projects for our retail clients. As a Retail Consultant, you will lead the implementation and optimization of D365 Commerce and POS solutions, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design customer-centric retail experiences.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce (Retail) modules, including POS (MPOS/CPOS), Store Management, Pricing, Promotions, Loyalty, and eCommerce integration.Conduct workshops and gather detailed business requirements related to retail operations, store processes, merchandising, and omnichannel sales.Translate retail business requirements into scalable D365 Retail solutions aligned with best practices and Microsoft standards.Define business processes, create functional design documents (FDDs), and support solution architecture in collaboration with technical teams.Drive system testing, UAT, training sessions, go-live, and post-go-live support in retail and POS environments.Coordinate with technical teams to support POS device setup, extension requirements, and integration with payment gateways or fiscal printers.Manage retail-specific data entities such as assortments, catalogs, channels, and registers.Guide customers on hardware recommendations for POS terminals, peripherals (printers, scanners, cash drawers), and offline scenarios.Act as a subject matter expert for store operations, omnichannel order processing, and retail back-office activities.Maintain strong client relationships through value-driven consulting, stakeholder engagement, and proactive support.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail/Commerce implementations.Proven experience with POS setup, configuration, and deployment (MPOS/CPOS architecture).Strong understanding of retail business processes: pricing, promotions, loyalty, inventory control, store replenishment, and omni-channel sales.Deep knowledge of Retail HQ, Store Commerce, Hardware Station, and Retail peripherals configuration.Experience in conducting fit-gap analysis and translating requirements into solution designs.Familiarity with Commerce Channel Configuration, Retail Workflows, Payment Connectors, and Fraud Protection.Proficiency in writing FDDs, business process flows, and test cases for retail modules.Knowledge of integration between D365 Retail and external eCommerce or ERP systems (Finance/Supply Chain).Experience working with global retail clients.

Nice to have skills:

Exposure to Power Platform for retail automation or reporting.Familiarity with ISVs like LS Retail or Omnichannel extensions.Experience with D365 eCommerce site builder and storefront configuration.Basic understanding of X++ or Commerce SDK for POS extension collaboration.
