Job Title: MRPC Project Planner

Working Pattern:

Monday – Thursday 8am – 16:45

Friday – 8am to 12pm

Working location: Winsford

As a MRPC Controller you will be reporting to the Head of Operations and have the responsibility for delivering flexible, high quality and robust materials requirements planning (MRP) support as part of an integrated team.

Our team provides support services for our Defence customers, both in the UK and overseas. This encompasses design, development, manufacture and support of electrical power generation, power management, distribution and conversion equipment.

This role provides the opportunity for someone to ensure that robust quality standards are consistently achieved and further improvements made with regard to both external supply chain and internal operational activity. The MRPC Controller role will perform the activities necessary to ensure that the business runs smoothly and meets its performance goals.

What you will be doing

Ensure the ERP system is maintained with robust & credible material requirement planning (MRP) data both Buy and Make items, which support the delivery of customers’ requirements.Creating and executing work orders or purchase orders for the production or purchase of components or assemblies based on MRP and independent demand requirements.Coordinating cross functional activity as required to ensure the fulfilment of MRP output requirements that are achieved on time in full (OTIF).Expediting Make and/or Buy orders as required via the internal and external supply chains.

Ideally educated to degree level and/or relevant professional qualification (e.g. APICS, IOM) or suitable equivalent based on proven experience.You must be able to demonstrate an in-depth working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.A minimum of 3 years’ post training experience in a materials planning and purchasing role, ideally based in an engineering make/repair to order type business.Highly self-motivated, with strong interpersonal, team working and influencing skills.Able to make sound, logical decisions, based on available data.
