**Overview**
Are you ready to be the driving force behind our site's procurement operations? As an MRP Purchaser, you'll play a key role in ensuring our production lines never miss a beat. In this role, you will execute efficient and accurate procurement of parts and ensure proper inventory levels. This role is also resposibile for contacting vendors to ensure competitive pricing and delivery of procured items.

**Responsibilities**
+ Purchasing for Ruckersville location for inventoried items (JDE), some non-inventoried items such as office/coffee supplies, prototypes, and Engineering needs (Coupa or P-card purchase)
+ Creation of various types of Purchase Orders (P.O.’s) in JDE and Coupa (PPV, PPAP, Blanket, RMA, etc), revisions to POs for price/date
+ Monitor open vendor PO's and expedite or delay as needed
+ Point of contact for vendor relations
+ Research and build relationships with suppliers, responsible for negotiating competitive pricing
+ Provide vendor forecasts
+ Find alternate sourcing for parts or work with Engineering to find substitute parts
+ Monitor inventory levels by reviewing MRP, calculate safety stock, maintain Key Component Grid with updated order info
+ Review ERP to determine current production trends to maintain adequate stock levels
+ Identify areas where stock can be reduced, returned, scrapped, and/or obsoleted
+ Participation in weekly and monthly inventory meetings to review orders booked, open POs for key components
+ Support Sales/Schedulers with parts inquiries (part numbers, availability, etc.) via email, phone, or in personRequests for EOC for system changes, new parts, updates, etc.
+ Understand bills of materials (BOMs). Add costing, vendor info, etc. in parts/BOMs as needed
+ Create job instructions as needed.
+ Arrange catering, food, or reservations for special events/visits
+ Additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and company goals.
**Qualifications**
Education, Experience, Certifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of relevant work experience.
+ Experience in materials planning, sourcing or procurement in a production environment.
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
+ Knowledge of and experience in purchasing and inventory management systems.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize when a problem should be escalated
+ Capable of handling multiple priorities.
+ Excellent communication skills, including telephone and email skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
+ JDE, experience preferred
+ Must be detailed oriented

This position requires you to be on site at our Ruckserville, VA site.
