A key mission of the Process Development and Industrialization (PD&I) Data Acceleration Lead is therefore to serve as a key liaison between R&D teams and Digital & Data Sciences departments.

Main Responsibilities
Champion data hygiene
In scope:
Act as Business Analyst within his / her department to examine data practices, from data capture, data transformation, data interoperability and data consumption (including visualization)
Drive the adoption of best practices for data quality, integrity and reusability (FAIR principles).
Identify opportunities to improve the data integrity avoiding manual re-transcription or duplication of data
Evaluate solutions and business processes gaps to improve data interoperability across teams & digital systems
Drive data standardization efforts within his /her department. Identify Critical Data Elements, propose nomenclatures and data quality rules for data packages under their responsibility.
Collaborate with Data Stewards on Data Cataloguing and Remediation activities to improve data accessibility & quality.
Contribute to good Data Processing and Transformation practices and to the creation of reusable data processing pipelines by
Providing domain expertise to guide the development of digital / data applications in their research areas
Identifying metadata needs
Defining data processing workflows with SME
If capable, establish a first data transformation script. Alternatively, work with digital savvy teams, review and refine data transformation processes. Participate in their documentation.
Deploying within their supported team
Nice to have :
Self-Development of analysis scripts, protocols or API using python code or equivalent programming language. Development of such scripts should / can be done by / in partnership with Data & Digital teams
Out of scope :
Accountable for the creation of business processes (->Head of lab unit is)
Decide and validate nomenclature and data quality rules (-> Data Domain owner are accountable for that)
Remediate Data Quality Issues (->Data Stewards responsibility)
Monitoring of Data Quality
Maintenance / Ingestion of files generated by scientists outside of target digital systems (Benchling, iLab, Apprentice, etc …)
Bridge scientific needs with digital / data teams
In Scope :
Evaluate scientific readiness and business process maturities and identify related Digital / Data gaps.
Map as-is and to-be data flow. Create associated users’ stories. May create mock-up of the target data viz solution. Collaborate with Data / Digital teams to develop it.
Advise Digital teams on the relevance of the solution they develop. Provide feedback on usability and functionality. Engage scientists to test the solution during development.
Lead the deployment within their respective teams of the solution when developed, including Training, User Adoption, Change narrative. Oversee the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to speed up data-driven discoveries.
Foster a culture of change within their scope of responsibilities
Nice to have :
Stand-alone development of data analytics or data viz solutions using low code / no code solutions. Data viz solutions should / can be developed by / in partnership with Digital / Data team to ensure scalability & viability of the solution
Out of scope:
Self-Resolution of Digital source systems gaps
Self-Development of digital solutions impacting data capture and data model
Contribute to Digital / Data strategy
In scope :
Collaborate with mRNA CoE Digital Lead & Digital partners to establish and maintain up to date CoE and team specific digital roadmaps in line with digital transformation goals, technology maturity and resources.
Advocate for the value and purpose of digital transformation at the local function site. Contribute to overall value realization & impact quantification by participating in the definitions of metrics & OKRs
Contribute to the Measurement within their local team (customer satisfaction surveys, Data related OKRs, productivity, etc.).
Advise and influence business priorities based on the understanding of their team needs and process / scientific maturity.
Out of scope :
Decide on business priorities, which is the accountability of the CoE Digital Lead in line with Department heads. SDAL however advise and influence based on their understanding of their team needs and process / scientific maturity.
About You
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as business analyst, data analyst, data management, bioinformatics or related fields in pharmaceutical research and development environment is expected
Technical & Scientific Skills
Ability to use data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) is a must have
Ability to build data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) is a nice to have
Ability to write Python scripts, protocols, API or digital solutions is a nice to have
Knowledge of R&D business process and data (e.g., across research, CMC, clinical etc)
Experienced in working in an agile environment (knowledge of Jira is a plus)
Soft Skills
Demonstrated ability to understand end-to-end data use and business needs
Demonstrated strong attention to detail, quality, time management and customer focus
Excellent verbal and written communication and data presentation skills, including experience communicating with business and technical teams
Strong networking, influencing and negotiating skills and superior problem-solving skills
Demonstrated willingness to make decisions and to take responsibility for such
Excellent interpersonal skills (team player)
Critical Thinking
Education
Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written)
French is a plus

The salary range for this position is:
$84,000.00 - $121,333.33All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
