This position offers up to $30,000 in signing bonus for external applicants or per diem to full time conversion candidates! Position Summary: Under the direction of a radiologist, with minimum supervision, maintain the daily function of the mobile MRI unit. Education, License & Cert: Completion of normal radiologic technology training from a JRCERT approved school. Additional training or experience in the field of MRI Technology. Experience: Minimum of two years MRI scanning. Essential Functions: 1. The MRI technologist must initiate the correct protocol for scanning the requested anatomy with minimal supervision. 2. Advise and explain to the patient, the MRI examination procedure. 3. Transfer of patient to the MRI scanner table and preparation for intravenous injection if needed. 4. Scanning. 5. Maintain familiarity with life support equipment. 6. Provides for patient’s modesty, comfort and privacy. Other Duties: 1. Must be able to work a variety of shifts on a scheduled basis. 2. Send images to PACS and ensure transfer is successful for timely and efficient Radiologist interpretation. 3. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the mobile MRI unit. 4.
