**In this position...**
You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of all inbound material to support vehicle production. This includes all parts inbound to Ford Assembly plants moved via intermodal, and assisting in rack return movements back to Ford Internal and Tier 1 suppliers. You will play a crucial role in driving cost improvements and enhancing logistical efficiency across our operations through the modernization of toolsets and software. **Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.**

**What you'll do...**
+ Lead several system and process enhancements, including assisting with the development and implementation of our Transportation Management System (TMS) capabilities, in collaboration with our Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) teams.
+ Document and improve current business practices across multiple teams within material logistics, working cross-functionally to create process efficiencies and cost savings.
+ Develop and maintain freight databases, dashboards, and key metrics.
+ Support special projects and requests through comprehensive data gathering and analysis.
+ Implement freight efficiencies, to achieve calendarized and annualized cost targets.
+ Develop logistics commodity strategies, in conjunction with the Transportation Purchasing Organization.
+ Publish supplier shipping instructions and manage daily changes, including responding effectively to operating plan adjustments.
+ Manage inbound freight costs, by identifying and implementing improvements and tracking physicals.
+ Identify cost savings through sourcing changes and density improvements.
+ Audit and dispute logistics provider billing discrepancies.
+ Interface with Plant Group Managers and Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) Managers, to proactively manage logistics-related issues between plants, suppliers, and carriers.
+ Participate in Material & Equipment Logistics (MEL) Meetings and metrics, as well as conducting regular Cost Reviews.
+ Monitor Cube Utilization, Brokering, Add/Cancel metrics, and Rack Return-to-plan.
+ Execute Forward Model Logistics plans, in conjunction with the LLP and affected plant(s).
+ Interface with the Lead Logistics Provider to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
+ Provide monthly updates to the Director of MP&L.
+ Achieve a reduction in brokering, for key carriers by utilizing Data Warehouse reports and conducting detailed brokering and book of business reviews.
+ Maintain or improve the MEL rating for overall carrier performance.
+ Support new product launches, with zero production losses due to logistics failures.
**You'll have...**
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ 3+ years experience in one or more of the following fields: Supply Chain, Logistics, Premium Freight, Manufacturing
**Even better, you may have...**
+ Experience within the North American Material Logistics (NAML) organization or Supply Chain Management (SCM), preferred, with a strong knowledge of logistical operations.
+ Plant experience is preferred.
+ Strong project management experience, including the ability to create and maintain project plans, develop business cases, and lead and direct cross-functional teams.
+ MBA or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Data Analytics.
+ Demonstrated aptitude to deliver new IT tools to support technology and operations requirements.
+ Prior experience querying data (SQL) through Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar platform
+ Strong analytical skill set, coupled with decision-making capability.
+ Strong understanding of MP&L systems (e.g., CMMS, Data Warehouse, TMS or similar systems) and Microsoft systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
+ Proficiency with Data Analytics tools, such as Alteryx, PowerBi, Tableau, and/or QlikSense.
+ Strong ability to interface and collaborate effectively with plant personnel (staff MP&L, MFE, SCM, etc.) and cross-functional teams (Purchasing, Lead Logistics Providers, etc.).
+ Ability to self-motivate, strong time-management skills, and emotional resilience to work under pressure and time commitments.
+ Demonstrated ability to produce quality results under time constraints, both independently and in a team setting.
+ Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop permanent corrective actions.
+ Occasional Travel will be required to the plants this role supports. Weekend work may be required on an exception basis.
