Motor and Generator Field Service Engineer

Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized recruiting firm, is assisting our client for hiring a Motor & Generator Field Service Engineer. This role will be responsible for traveling to customer sites across the United States to install and perform standardized maintenance and service on motors and generators.
Must be available to travel up to 90% of the time
Requirements: Perform maintenance/ installation on the generator excitation systems, motors, protective relays, and other equipment. Perform testing protocol in accordance with factory instructions and manuals. Educate both the customer and employees. Complete reports to describe the system in detail and the actions taken to fix the system. Collaborate with different departments to develop installation tasks and designs. Must be flexible to travel with little notice. (70%-90% travel) Must live within 1 hour of major airport Qualifications: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree with 2 - 5 years of related work experience preferred Must be able to qualify and hold certifications such as MSHA, OSHA, THUET, TBOSIET, TWIC, and ISNetworld Currently holding a work authorization in the US Knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Strong verbal and written communication Ability to implement electrical schematics Demonstrated understanding of synchronous machines Working knowledge of electric machines theory and synchronous machines connected to power grids ** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
