About the Role:
Hogarth is seeking a highly skilled and creative Motion Designer to join our dynamic Post Production team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating dynamic and visually appealing graphic content, often for digital media campaigns and advertisements. You will be a key player in bringing our clients' visions to life through compelling motion graphics and animation. This position requires a blend of creative, technical, and leadership skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality work within deadlines and budget constraints.
Responsibilities:
Motion Design & Animation: Create high-quality motion graphics and animations for a variety of digital platforms, including social media, websites, and online advertising. Conceptualization & Execution: Conceptualize and execute creative ideas from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and project objectives. Format Adaptation: Adapt existing video and graphic assets for various formats and platforms, ensuring optimal performance and visual appeal. 3D & 2D Animation: Utilize both 3D and 2D animation techniques to create engaging and visually stunning content. Video Production Knowledge: Apply a strong understanding of video production processes and editing techniques to enhance motion graphics and animations. Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketers, developers, editors, and other designers, to achieve project goals. Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and support to foster their growth and development. Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in motion design and animation, and proactively explore new techniques and tools to enhance our creative output. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical and creative challenges effectively and efficiently. AI Integration: Explore and integrate AI image generation tools and techniques to enhance the creative process and efficiency. VFX Knowledge: Utilize knowledge of visual effects (VFX) to enhance the visual impact of motion graphics and animations.
Role Requirements:
Creating dynamic and visually appealing graphic content, often for digital media campaigns and advertisements. Blend of creative, technical, and leadership skills. Expertise in motion design, motion graphics animation, format adaptation, 3D animation, and 2D animation. Familiarity with video production processes and editing techniques.
Desired Skills and Experiences:
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Cinema 4D, Blender or equivalent 3D animation tools. Experience: Several years of experience in motion design, typically 5+ years, with a portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects. Creative Vision: Ability to conceptualize and execute creative ideas from start to finish. Storytelling & Aesthetics: Strong storytelling skills and a keen eye for aesthetics and detail. Visual Design: Ability to create visually compelling and innovative designs. Project Management: Experience in managing projects and working within deadlines and budget constraints. Multitasking & Prioritization: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of projects. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams. Mentorship: Mentorship abilities to guide junior designers and contribute to their growth. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to change. Self-Motivation: High levels of self-motivation and a proactive approach to work. Adaptation Speed: Ability to quickly adapt to new projects, technologies, and client requests. VFX Knowledge: A solid understanding of visual effects principles and techniques. Portfolio: A strong online portfolio demonstrating a range of motion design skills and experience.
