What is the opportunity?

To provide expert advice based on clients’ long term home financing (mortgage and creditor insurance) needs, working collaboratively with other RBC partners to meet clients’ full suite of financial needs. Your ability to develop relationships with both internal and external partners is crucial to your success, particularly within the community, realtors, lawyers, developers, and other Centers of Influence. You represent RBC within the community/area/market, building RBC presence and sourcing business opportunities. You share in the common goals, purpose, vision, and values with other RBC partners, building relationships and encouraging collaboration across all roles.

What will you do?

Demonstrate an understanding of the market, industry, and clients through discovery conversations to present home financing advice and solutions that directly address the client’s financial needsHave an entrepreneurial mindset to acquire new mortgage clients to grow RBC mortgage financing portfolio and achieve strong business performanceDevelop and nurture relationships with key external partners and centers of influence to establish referral opportunities to provide value added expertise for your clientsEnsure high quality credit applications and onboarding of every mortgage client with partners to bring all of RBC to the clientPlan and actively participate in market/community/area events and business development activities to expand and strengthen RBC’s brand and reputation in the market/community/areaAcquire mortgage clients through leads, advice events, referrals to build a robust pipeline of mortgage business while proactively building COI relationshipsSuccessfully drive your sales results through proper planning and practice management routinesExercise due diligence to ensure you meet RBC, industry and legal standards following all procedures relating to identification, verification, fraud, and anti-money laundering

Demonstrated passion for exceptional client experience, providing advice and solutions to meet clients’ needsSolid acumen of the real estate market & competitorsMinimum of 2 years credit experience with solid networking capabilities to achieve referrals, new clients, and increased opportunitiesEntrepreneurial mindset who can work independently, can be mobile and work flexible hours including weekendsUniversity degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or equivalent qualifications (consideration will be given to individuals pursuing a degree)Strong verbal and written communication skills
