SUMMARY
The Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist performs servicing duties as they relate to the accurate accounting, settlement, administration, and maintenance of mortgage loans in accordance with regulatory and investor guidelines. This position may focus on specified areas of Mortgage Loan Servicing including customer service, escrow administration, new loan boarding and quality control, loan maintenance and/or payment processing. The Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist will collaborate with each functional area within Mortgage Loan Servicing to ensure procedures are developed and maintained, resource needs are identified, cross-training efforts are coordinated, and assist leadership with departmental and field communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides development and ongoing maintenance of Mortgage Loan Servicing procedures.Identifies mortgage loan servicing training needs, development of training materials, and assistance with scheduling and delivery.Provides mortgage loan servicing and support functions such as processing loan payments/ corrections, payoffs, and responding to internal and external customer inquiries.Completes administration of mortgage loan escrow accounts to include maintenance, monitoring, and payment of taxes and insurance.Collaborates with Mortgage Loan Servicing leadership to continually identify, propose, and implement workflow improvements.Maintains a working knowledge of First Interstate Bank policies, investor guidelines, and federal regulations that apply to Mortgage Loan Servicing including Regulation E, Regulation X, and Bank Secrecy.
